Our Vestry: Who To See About What

 

      The vestry is the governing and decision-making body for a parish made up of the rector and elected lay representatives.  Grace operates with nine lay representatives, each with specific areas of responsibility seen below.  

      At the beginning of each year the vestry elects its Senior and Junior Wardens to fill special roles.  The Senior Warden  acts as the vestry's spokesperson and works closely with the rector.  The Junior Warden is responsible for maintenance and repair of the church's building and grounds. 

      The remaining vestry members volunteer to lead the parish in additional initiatives or ministry areas.  These areas may change from year-to-year depending on Grace's current priorities.
