Loraine Smith

by Loraine Smith

I just returned (Tue., 11/11/08) from seeing Dr. Nacilla, my Oncologist....

He said I am doing great and he does not anticipate that I will need any more 'chemo' -  however - He has ordered a CT scan and PET scan and some more blood work.  If all of these test come back within normal ranges - then I will not need more chemo.  Seems there is always one more test - just to prolong the suspense!  I am driving now and continuing to improve on a daily basis.  Home health is still coming each day to treat my open wound, but that is closing well and I don't anticipate that will be needed much longer.

My general strength and stamina are still not back to normal, but steadily improving.  For instance, just driving to Food World to pick up a few groceries exhausts me to the point that I have to take a nap when I get home!  But - when I think of  how far I have come, I hate to complain.

All the prayers have been appreciated, and the kindness that has been shown me will never be forgotten.  This past year will always serve as an example of how God loves and cares for us all!

                                                                             Love to all,

                                                                                                       Loraine

Even from way out here in Texas, I continue to rely on these updates to know what is going on with all those I hold dear at Grace Cullman. Glad to hear that Loraine is still upbeat and am keeping her in my prayers. Hope to make actual contact with her soon.
